Tried to film Janna's claps, but Simon was running around and bumping me, but here you go!

Songs by Janna
Janna has been singing wonderful songs she sings at school. I have recorded a few of them.
She also picked out some "popcorn" words on a kids menu. Popcorn words are sight words. She found more the next day. She "eats" the words so she remember them. I love hearing all the new stuff she is learning.

Betti Morrison
Slime!
Homemade Slime aka GAK
1 teaspoon borax powder
1 1/2 C water, divided
4 oz (1/2 C) Elmer’s glue, clear or white
food coloring
Add borax powder to 1 cup of water and stir to dissolve. Set aside. Pour glue into a medium mixing bowl and add 1/2 C water. Add a few drops of food coloring until desired color is reached and then stir to mix glue solution until smooth. Pour the borax mixture into the glue mixture and watch the solids start to form. Stir for a few moments and then use your hands to gather the mass. The mixture will be very soft and wet. Keep kneading until it firms up and feels dry. Discard excess liquid in bowl. The more you knead and play with the slime the firmer it will become. Store in a ziplock bag or air tight container and the slime will keep indefinitely.

Janna loves Kindergarten
Janna is loving kindergarten!
She is learning so much...I love hearing about her day.
She has taught us...
Different types of claps
Fun songs

During fire drills you don't grab anything
I love catching her imitate her teacher and say things that I know she is being told. She has had all green days (good behavior). She has gotten caught twice for good behavior. She is enjoying the bus too. She packs her lunch in her kitty lunch box she picked out. She sometimes eats breakfast at school. She leaves her bunny bear and burp rag at home like it is no big deal.
I am very proud of my little girl. She has grown up so much is just one week.

10 years!
HAPPY 10TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!
Ten years ago on a hot summer day I married my true love. It was a beautiful day. Looking at this picture reminds me of how "young" we look and how "not tired" we were. I would describe our 10 years as a rollercoster ride. During our first 5 years we moved 4 times. We have settled into our home now. We have had years of little to no sleep, too many ear infections to count, meltdowns by all, etc....through all these times we have communicated our feelings and thoughts in good and bad ways. We are still learning more and more about each other everyday. Isaac has gone from computer game "junkie" to theological book lover. He would still play the games but he love me and the kids too much to take time away from us. During these years he has become a Steelers and UK fan as well. We have gone through times of sickness and sadness but have held strong to each other. Isaac has always loved and cared for me and still does. Our first dance song was " I will be here" by Steven Curtis Chapman. He is always here for me....through the good and bad days. Isaac is an awesome father. One of my favorite sounds is hearing him laughing with the kids. He is patient when I am not. He explains everything just the right way. Isaac is our 'master chief'. He cooks almost every night for which I am so grateful. Isaac knows that to cheer me a doughnut is better than flowers, but also know flowers are appreciated at times too. Isaac loves going to movies, I try and give him time to see his movie even if by himself. I also give him time with his friend Big Matt. Though I complain when he leaves, this really refreshes him and makes him happy...which is my main goal. Isaac gives the best hugs that make you feel safe and secure. I look forward to many more years with him. I love you Isaac!
OUR SONG!
Tomorrow morning if you wake up
and the sun does not appear
I will be here
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
'Cause I will be here
I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
I will be here
Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here
Just as sure as seasons were made for change
Our lifetimes were made for these years
So I will be here
I will be here
And you can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you
And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here
I will be true to the promise I have made
To you and to the One who gave you to me
Tomorrow morning, if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I will be here
Oh, I will be here.

First Day of School
Pictures from this morning. The bus was estimated to come between 6:55 and 7:05. Being the first day it came at 7:25. We woke Simon up early so he could say goodbye Janna. Isaac did follow the bus and Janna did great. She woke up excited and stayed excited. She was quiet. I look forward to hearing about her day. I only shed a few tears walking back to the house with Simon. I know she is in good hands and will have a great day. Tomorrow is our off day, then she will go back on Friday with all the kids. They 'phase in' in the kindergarteners.

Mrs. Messer and Janna
We met Janna's teacher Mrs. Messer Friday night and got to see the school and the classroom. I think Janna will have a great time. Janna loved the art room and the music room. The library she was so excited to see, wasn't here favorite, but it might be later.
Janna starts school on Wednesday. The bus comes around 7:05. We are working on our morning routine. The school has breakfast so if she doesn't get time or doesn't want to eat right away then she will have an opportunity to have breakfast there. Her friend Matelyn in is her classroom, it is nice to have a familiar face.
Be thinking of us on Wednesday. I think Janna will do great. I think Simon and I will be crying and I have no idea how Isaac will respond.
