Busy for Us
After returning from our family retreat with our church this is what our our next two weeks look like. For us this is crazy. I have notes everywhere of what I need to remember for each day. What to dress who in and what to bring or do different than usually, what to prepare for so it all goes smoothly. So as I have been doing this. The laundry is piling up and Isaac has been taking care of the kitchen, he is so awesome. I have had very few days at home for lunch to catch up on chores and etc. It will settle down soon though.
Monday- Dinner with new friends ( kids were very crazy and NOT on the their best behavior)
Tuesday- Stamping up at night (Sarah)
Wednesday- Janna’s field trip- remember to dress in blue- pack paper bag lunch
-Sarah doctor appointment at 10:45am
Thursday –early dismissal- note that lunch is for brunch- meet Janna at daycare and take out to lunch
Friday –Boyd’s Party with work and family---cold night for a campfire and cookout but looking forward to it—Janna dress up as community helper
Saturday
Sunday- Sarah Y birthday party
Monday- Simon’s Halloween Party-bring snack
Friday- Sarah doctor appointment 10:30
-Isaac doctor appointment

She wanted to hold her bunny bear and burp rag for the picture too. I have no idea why she has started making this face for pictures. I am hoping her school picture isn't this face. She is still the prettiest girl in the world to me!

Bed Time and Simon
We have been having an "issue " with Simon at bed time called " I refuse to get in and stay in bed". It has been fun. We had it good for a 4 days and then went away and now we are back at one again. The old technique of putting him in the study isn't working anymore. He does anything to prolong bed time. He recently doesn't want any covers or blankets on his bed. He also sleeps in just his diaper. Last night after only a small fit he was in bed-calm- and quiet. I got up and said goodnight. An half hour later Isaac went to check on the kids and Simon was fast asleep in the rocking chair. He was so sweet looking. Obviously we weren't happy he got out of bed, but he was asleep which is the end goal. We took a picture, but due to the fact he isn't dressed I can't post it.
It is always interesting at bed time in our home.

Spider Web
I made a spider web out of streamers. It looked so much neater on pinterest. The kids loved to crawl through it, but I think they had more fun playing with the streamers afterwards. The kids aren't in the picture because like most of the time they weren't dressed.

Baked Cheesy Chicken Penne

We left out the mushrooms and tomatoes this time, but will probably add them back in along with a few other spices. It was very good though. We use left over Fried Chicken and that was delicious in it.
I love having an awesome hubby who cooks great meals!
Potty Time

October 17th- Monday night- told me twice he needed to go and then went both times
October 18th-Tuesday morning- told me he needed go and went
Candy isn't really an incentive like it was with Janna. We are still working on consistency and he says he will only try at home. He really wants spider man underwear and he is working hard to show he can do it.
Monday when I was sick, he took off his diaper, threw it away, and then put a new one on by himself. I guess he was tired of waiting for me to come.
I am so proud of him. I am glad to see he is starting to show interest.

National Boss's Day
I found this on pinterest and wanted to do this for someone. National Bosses day was Sunday, but Jim is out of town, so I left this on his desk.
This is my attempt. I think maybe a brown grocery bag may have worked better and I had issues with the straw. I like the note though.

Greenfield Library Time
Monday morning we went the library and explored! They had a great children's section.
Pumpkin Carving-IN
Monday afternoon we carved pumpkins on the back deck. Simon wouldn't let us put a face on his though. This was the first time we carved pumpkins with the grandparents!
