Funny Question

A bi-stander asked me how old Janna was the other day. I said 18 months. She ask " Are you ready for the terrible two's?" I couldn't help but laugh. If she had any idea of everything we have been through with this sweet innocent little girl up til this point that wouldn't have been a question. I answered politely that I can't imagine two being any worse than anything we haven't handled already. So Terrible Two's Bring it On!

Squirt toys + Bath

Ever since September 1st when Janna was really sick she has hated bath time which use to be a favorite activity of hers. I use to look forward to bath time with her. She would splash, laugh, and play. She would only get upset when it was time to get out. Since she was really sick she has screamed the whole time and clings to me like a monkey as we try and bath her. We tried everything to make is enjoyable again....me getting in with her, new toys, back to the kitchen sink, we even went out and got a new blow up duck bathtub(the old one had a hole so I threw it away thinking we wouldn't need it again). Well last night we have a good time. We had the duck for the second night and a new set of toys. She loved it. Still isn't a favorite activity but there was no screaming. Yeah!

As a side note she kept calling the red crab squirt toy Elmo. I guess I have been saying "Elmo is red" enough times that she thinks everything that is red is Elmo.

The teeth are on the move Again

Janna's "I " teeth are moving again. She points to her mouth and says "ooch". Her nose has started running and she was very stuffy this morning. Poor sweet baby. One is already through from September so we have three more I teeth to go.

Please be praying that this round of teething doesn't cause another ear infection.

Climbing and Walking

Janna is now able to climb. She likes to climb up onto the futon by herself! It is very interesting to me how she wants to climb everything but refuses to let go of my finger to walk. She can walk we have seen it in small spurts. We are waiting for the day something really exciting makes her just go walking on her own. Once she is confident in herself, we are in trouble. Right now we are able to keep tabs on her easily. She would go up and down stairs for hours if we let her luckily we don't have stairs in our home.
She is enjoying chasing Molly the dog around house as long as I hold her hand. She chased Molly through out the house the other day batting her cup full of Cheerios as Molly slowly backed up the whole way. I think Molly was deciding if the food was worth being hit over the head with the cup by Janna. Molly better watch out when she lets go.

Health

So since we got Janna healthy, Isaac and I had to get sick. I ended up having strep and Isaac had bad allergies and a sore throat. We are all better and healthy now but it was a rough week.

I appreciate a healthy household so much more than I did before. We are back to our normal schedule and I am very thankful.
