Simon's Ears Still Infected

My poor little boy is still sick. After 5 days on onicef he was still not feeling well. His eyes looked so sad. He was really hot, and he rarely smiled. He was not sleeping. He was spitting up a lot. Wanting to at least make it one week before going back to the doctor and paying the $25 co-pay yet again, also wanting to give the onicef time to work we hesitated in calling. Until Monday morning when he was so sick we had to call. Isaac took him to the doctor office and the ear infections (both ears now) have gotten worse. We started Augmentum Monday Night. Tuesday I took off work to take care of him. Simon finally smiled and sat up and played around 3:30pm. He would only sleep next to someone. Every time I set hid down he screamed. I thought he was doing better until last night he still didn't sleep well. I took him to daycare hopeful that Motrin would help with the pain and being with his friends he might perk up but no, he is now home with Isaac being snuggled and love.

It makes me so sad to see my little boy sick. He tries so hard to make you happy and smile (he is a people pleaser like his Daddy), but one little smile turns into tears.
Please be praying that the medicine starts working and my happy little boy feels better.

Janna

A short Janna Update:

Janna loves to watch Mickey Mouse, the new one...over and over and over
( she even knows each chapters title)
loves to watch Tinkerbell too

This morning she told me the sun is out, we can go swimming now. She loves water.

She drew a picture of a helicopter and an airplane and wrote the name next to it ( little lines all in a row) The helicopter was a big circle with lines coming out of the top. She took it to her teacher to show her.

Yesterday she told me that pigs roll in mud when they get hot. They made chocolate pudding and dipped animal crackers in it at school. Her teacher is very creative.

She loves candy, especially nerds. Now that Easter is over I am weeing her back slowing and cutting off all the sugar she eats.

She also likes her new gumball machine. She is very good about spitting out on a napkin or giving it to me when she is done.

She takes her clothes off almost immediately after school and plays in her diaper. She is anti -clothes and shoes. She knows they have to be on in order to go outside.

She is getting really good at her tri-cycle and like the princess bell she got for her birthday. She is like her mom and struggles with steering.

Janna is a firery little girl I am enjoying watch grow up.

How many?

Last night while getting Janna to go to sleep, she starts to tell me how many of each body part she has...

J: Mommy I have two BIG toes and lots of little ones
M: Yes you do

J: I have two feet and two legs
M: Yes you do

J: Mommy I have two hands , one nose and two holes for boogers
I start giggling....I love how her mind works

M: How many eyes do you have
J: Two for seeing

M: How many ears do yo have
J: Two to listen

M: How many mouths?
J: One to eat

Weekend

This past weekend was busy. Friday night we had dinner with church friends. They had a little boy named Sam who was two. Janna had a good time playing with him. She threw a huge fit when we had to leave. Then Saturday we went to the Lexington Children's Museum. We had a great time. Janna's favorite part was the big water tubs with dolphins and fountains and then the marbles that you dropped in and they spun down a tunnel and out the bottom. She play doctor to each of us with the medical area. They had a toddler and baby area. Simon enjoyed being let loose in a protected area to explore. They had a really cool large Lego room where you just build as much at you want. The bubble room wasn't as neat as it has been in the past. Janna had no interest in the horse area. Isaac loved the mind puzzles. After two hours were were all done.

We took a lunch/ snack break then went shopping. Isaac went to the bookstore and I went to Target. I had so much fun buying plastic to attempt to organize Janna's room. It is still a work is progress. We finally sold her toddler bed so there is more room. I am weeding out old toys and junk to try and make the room look nicer.

Sunday it rained all day but we had fun relaxing and playing indoor. It is suppose to be nice out this weekend. Janna's one request was to go grocery shopping with us this weekend. :)
