My little monster

I love my kids!

The detail of the trip

On Wednesday afternoon when we arrived we checked out the room and then headed to the beach. We took a walk along the beach. We took a dip in the ocean. It was so refreshing. Then we headed to pool.

We had a late dinner at The Outback, and then went grocery shopping. We got breakfast, snacks, and sunscreen to replace what airport security took from Mom and Aunt Carolyn. We finished just when they were closing at 10. We came back to the room and watch HGTV then went to bed. We enjoyed watching decorating shows that we don't get to watch at home.

We had planned on eating the Island Cafe there at the resort but it smelled very bad and never had anyone in it. The spa looked neat but was very over priced. The resort only had one working elevator that was very slow. We did the stairs a couple times. It was nice reality check to slow you down and make you wait.

Thursday morning.... I started the morning off at the pool reading and listening to my new I-pod touch (thanks to Aaron who passed his old one off to me). It was so nice to hop in the pool when hot and just sunbath and think about nothing. I loved listening to the ocean in the background. Mom and Aunt Carolyn sat at the beach. I later joined them and played in the ocean and then back at the pool. The resort was having Nathan Hot Dogs and chips on the pool deck. We bought some and took them up to our room and took a break from the sun. We went and did some souvenir shopping and then heading back to the room and had pizza for dinner. Afterwards we headed the beach and ocean again. It was a wonderful day.

Here is a picture of my mom at one of the shops. This shop had some fun stuff.

Friday...See Friday's post.

Saturday morning we packed and headed home. The layover in Atlanta was three hours but then there was a 40 min delay. We finally got home to Lex about 6:15. It was a long day in airports. It was so nice to see Isaac pick us up and then greeted by the kids smiles.

Views From the Beach

We left Wednesday morning and after going through Atlanta landed here after lunch.

We came in and checked out our room and looked out the balcony at our view.
Every morning we woke up to this view right outside our window. It was so beautiful and so nice to peek the blind open and enjoy.
This is our room. It was very open and nicely decorated.

This what is looked like at night and early morning. Mom and Aunt Carolyn said the sleeper sofa was the most comfortable bed they slept on and the hideaway bed was really cool looking and comfortable too.

The slept in this beautiful room. It was so nice to have the whole bed to myself to stretch out!

Friday at the Beach

Friday Morning....

I started out the morning with my favorite donut from Dunkin' Donuts and coffee, then my mom went out walking while I took a towel out to the beach to layout and read. Later my Aunt joined us and we rented chairs and an umbrella. It was so nice to look at the ocean reading a good book enjoying the sun. After a couple hours we needed a break from the sun so we went in to go get ready for lunch.

We went over to Flagler street and shopped and ate at a great little deli shop. The sandwiches were delicious.

Then we went for a drive on the beach. As we were driving down the the beach it started to down pour. It was so much fun to watch the people run to the cars and gather up their stuff as we drove by in a dry car. Here are some of pictures I took.

We parked the car and headed into the condo, unfortunately it was still storming on both sides of our beach after waiting 2 hours, so we decided to make a test drive to the airport and get dinner. Somehow the test drive too over 2 hours even though it only takes 30 min to get there, if you know us you won't be surprised. Turns out we took the wrong exit back and drove all over Daytona and New Smyrna. I took a great nap in the car though. We had dinner at Denny's and then back to the condo. We saw a black cat at the Denny's parking lot. My mom and I walked out to the beach and swam.

It was a good way to wrap the trip, we left the next morning. It was Friday the 13th after all, who can expect a perfect day. A little bump along road make the memories.
