Simon and Sarah

When uploading some pictures recently I realized how many of them had me and my shadow. If you can't find Simon look for me and he is probably there. I need to focus on getting some Janna and me pictures now:) Even though it is hard at times, I do love my baby boy and I love having him in pictures with me!

New Swing Set

We have a beautiful swingset now in our backyard. Thanks Isaac!

Weekend Update

This past weekend was fun and busy. Saturday we ran around and stopped at multiple stores for certain items needed. Most of the time just Isaac or I ran into to the store for the item we needed. It was fun but we were all over the place. Janna's favorite purchase with her birthday money, plastic golf clubs. Simon's favorite purchase a fun noodle. We got home in time to rest a few minutes before a friend's son first birthday party. It was a good time with church friends.

Last night I had a great time on a family "walk". All four of us went out and did a couple of loops on our street. Janna was learning to ride her new scooter. She is still trying to get it but loves it. Simon is doing great on his bike steering and going fast. I  am so proud of him. It was colder than we first thought so we kept it short. We hope someday we can go longer distance. It was really nice to get outside as a family.

Janna did have strep but got medicine and is feeling so much better now.

Trip to Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo over Spring Break as well.

Easter Eggs

We colored Easter eggs with my mom over Janna's spring break. It has been a tradition to do with my grandma, and I love we are continuing it with Janna and Simon. It is always fast and messy but I hope they have the memories I do of time with grandma.

Me and my shadow

Simon has been "attached" to me for awhile. It gets better than it goes backwards. It is hard at times but I am working on balancing the cuddles he needs but also "de-attach" him.

Maybe it is me, but I love the way he is looking at me. I see all love!

Here is a pictures of us.....we rarely get these. Even if it is silly:)

Baseball game

We got tickets to a baseball game Sunday after church. We bought two extra for the kids and took them too. This was Simon's first baseball game. It was a beautiful day. A little hot out but not too bad.

The kids did okay. Simon did better than Janna. Janna was whining but she wasn't feeling well and was tired. After the third inning we got cold treats to cool off. Then we left at the seventh inning stretch. We let the kids pick a small gift from the shop. Janna choose a foam finger and light up mini bat. Simon picked out a small wood bat and baseball. He was so excited.

He asked lots of questions at the game and was so cute. It was a fun time as a family but next time we will probably get a sitter for them.

About Janna (age 6)

She loves to read.

She loves art and is always asking me for marker and paper.

She falls asleep fast at night, even with Simon crying or throwing fits.

She loves her Daddy!

She has able to work the remotes for Netficks too.

She loves white milk.

She has started trying more food. Yeah!

She love sparkles and rainbows.

She is getting two molars now and already had one!

She can be very kind and loving to Simon, even offering him her favorite toys, at times.

She is liking and do very well at her swim lessons.

She love little babies.

She is very observant about what is around her and will ask questions.

She is kind and considerate and almost always willing to help out.

She has a heart for God:)

Celebrating Janna's Birthday

Janna had a great birthday. As she put it, "Mommy, I had so many surprises today."

I decorated the doorway to the living room since decorating their bedroom door would be hard with Simon still waking up sometimes. I had balloon and sign. Both kids loved it. I honestly thought it was kind of sad looking as I ran out of balloons and only had six.

Then at school she got to wear her birthday crown. Daddy brought the cupcakes and the rainbow suckers for her friends. Then Daddy took her as a car rider ( no bus) and took her grocery shopping with him.

She choose to go to Applebee's for dinner. She likes the spaghetti. She was really so excited she didn't eat much. Then another suprise was the waiters came and sang Happy Birthday to her and brought her an ice cream sundae. She was so shocked.

Then we got home she was surprised that I had presents waiting for her. She was little sad at bed time that it was over but I reminded her of her party coming up.
