Girls Day/Night Out

I had a girls Day/ Night out over Memorial Day weekend. I went with Tammy, Denise (Tammy's sister) and Sara. I took Friday off work and we left at 8am in the morning. Starting off picture. (Tammy broke a flower to get the picture.)
First stop: Gap Outlet- I got some great deals, 5 pair of pants and 5 tops. I was very excited.
Lunch: Penn Station
Second Stop: Zappos ( sorry no pictures) I got a gym shoes for a great price and red slip on shoes too.
Hotel-check in at Hampton Inn.
We then got ready for the concert. This was not planned but don't we all look so cute!

Zac Brown Band concert at Yum center (Louisville, KY). The concert was great, the opening act was "not so good" but it was still a fun time. We got back to the room around 11pm and had pizza and hung out some more before bed.
Headed home Saturday after stopping at the Dish Barn and Boot store in Nicholasville.
It was a great time with girl friends. Thank you Tammy for all the planning and driving, also thanks for letting me steal your pictures.

I am getting excited about my girls day/night out. I am taking Friday off work and shopping and then going to the Zac Brown Band Concert in Louisville. Then staying the night there and returning home Saturday. It will be a nice break and fun with friends.

I am preparing and getting 'help' lined up for when Isaac goes to England.

I am taking Simon's paci away the first weekend in June. It will be hard but it needs to be done.

We are planning on taking the kids to see Cars 2 at the movie theater when it come out.

I am sure there will be lots more but that is all for today:)

Weekend

We had a good weekend!

Friday Night: Graduation Party/Picnic at the park! The kids had fun playing we got to visit with friends. Janna did fall on the playground and got big bruise between her legs.

Saturday : Yard sales-Pool-Retirement Party. I tackled the kids and took them yard sale "ing" with me. First house Janna ran and fell and scraped up her legs really bad, Simon was fussy from not feeling great, allergies we think. The mom at the house was very nice and helped me clean her up. I found four clothing items for me there. We in and out of the car a lot to drive between houses/streets. I got a Disney Cars fold out couch/bed, cars pillow, and book for $4 total. At another house I found some shirts for Simon and Cars pajama. I would have love to look some more but the kids were restless. We got home and played in the water table and pool and slide, while Isaac gardened. Then we all took a short nap. Afterwards we bathed the kids and got ready for Dr C Retirement party. It was a small nice party and the kids were really well behaved, even with the late night.

Sunday: Church day and I worked the Pre-K nursery. Then we napped and played at home. It was a nice low key day.

Weekly Update

We have had a low-key weekend/ week but here is what we have been up too.

Isaac has started P90X (exercise program). I am so very proud of him. He is making good progress and this blood sugar levels are lowering. Last night I did the stretching low key video with him and I am hurting today. I felt great afterwards but today I am sore. I liked this one, and I completed it all. Yeah. I am still working out twice a week too.

The kids are doing a lot better at drop off and not screaming as much. They are also doing better at waking up when they are suppose to. We have been trying to put them to bed a bit early and it seems to have helped. They have been playing together well mostly too. Last week Simon was really trying my patience but since Thursday has been doing better.

Friday I got to scrapbook.

Saturday we went to the library and got a lot of fun books. Janna's favorite is called Dog Breath. Simon likes the Eric Carle Polar bear and Brown Bear books. He also loves the cars book he picked out. We had a special treat of ice cream on Saturday too. ( We got it while Isaac worked out.) Saturday night we met with a group of friends to hang out and had a good time. The kids were very well behaved.

Sunday we had church and then during naps, I did some much needed yard work. The kids played in there tent/cave with blankets and stuff animals for a long time. They love their tent and tunnel.

Our good behavior chart has been filling up fast this weekend, this is a good thing.

Allergy season is starting even with this cold front that came through. I am hoping Isaac doesn't get sick before his trip.

Isaac's parents moved this weekend and even put an offer on a house in IN. It looks very nice.

It is calm here and that is good.

Mother's Day

We had a great weekend together as a family. I have two wonderful kids who wished me 'Happy Mother's Day" over and over. At one point on Saturday I think Janna gave me 10 kisses in row. I felted really loved. I got homemade gifts from school and Isaac pick out the perfect mother's day card. I got to nap with kids and the a trip to the park to play. It was a good day! I know I am love and appreciated. Thank you guys!

I wanted to share a couple memories about some very important moms in my life.

My mom has done so much for me. Being a mom now I don't know how she managed all those doctor trips for surgery and radiation treatments and the waiting. The countless number of hours she sat in waiting rooms. She has the strength of steel. The amount of clean up and diet prep during the times and when all that was over it was time to deal with the medical bill and etc.
I enjoy shopping with mom and just walking around the stores and talking. We both love the beach. We enjoyed a great vacation last summer together on the beach "us girls". My mom loves chocolate and sweets. I love the crazy songs my mom sings and how she has passed on. I blame here for not know the right words to songs, but wouldn't change a thing. My mom has taught me practical things like balancing a check book to how to make good choices, and many more lessons.
I Love you!

My Mom (in law), she took me as a daughter immediately. I have always felt like part of the family. During the first year Isaac and I were married I asked mom to take a water aerobics class with me. She said yes. The first day of class in the changing room she tell me she doesn't like pools and can't swim. She said yes and we completed class out of love for me. I appreciate her stepping out of her comfort zone for me. It was the funniest site watching her try and float. Then there was the time she was demonstrating the frog jumping in the living room. Mom makes us laugh while laughing at herself. Mom is always there when I am sick or the kids are very sick and I need help. She has given her time and paint most of the rooms in our house with little to no help from us. Mom has a mountain dew and trisket habit we love to tease her about. Mom showers us all with her love and care.

I am so blessed to have two wonderful moms in my life. Thank you Lord!
