Do you have a motto?

When reading my Google reader this morning, one on the blogs I read asked "What is your motto?" I rarely comment but today I did. Here was my comment...

"Live Life To The Fullest!" At 15 I found out I had thyroid cancer and beat it, but I learned life happens and enjoy what you have. Now as a mom I try to enjoy the kids and not get too busy in the life that surround it.

So for those few readers out there, comment, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Simon

Simon has another ear infection. I tried drops for about a week, but it wasn't getting any better so we went to the Doctor and got our augmentium. He seems to be feeling better this morning.

He was so cute this morning talking about planes and how they fly fast. He kept wanting to go back the study with the plane posters to show us.

I love my little boy!

Pool Party

Janna was so excited about Ben and Nate's Pool Party it was all she could talk about. Ben and Nate are twins that have been in her class since she was one. She talked the whole way there, the whole time there, and straight up til she fell asleep. She loved hanging out with her friends and swimming in the huge "baby" ( 1 foot deep) pool. It was very nice. We got in the big pool for a little bit and she is getting more comfortable in the water. Her favorite part was the orange goggles she got. I think the cake was a close second. Ben and Nate liked the spiderman and batman toys Janna picked out. It was a fun party.

Janna before the party all ready to go!

These friends plus the twins are the one's Janna talks the most about.

Birthday

I had a great birthday yesterday. I got sung to by my family. I got my favorite cake at work with a huge balloon. It is great to have such nice co-workers to celebrate my birthday with. Then right before lunch I got the most beautiful flowers from my mom and dad. I am so loved. For dinner Isaac made me my favorite dinner and even bought cupcakes for dessert and sang to me. The kids loved the cupcakes but I had too much dinner to even try one. I got a book I have been wanting on organizing and New Moon. I also got an awesome sweatshirt jacket from England, which I love. Janna told all her friends it was my birthday so I also got cards from half of her friends at school. She is so thoughtful. I had a wonderful day and I am so blessed to be surrounded by great friends and family.

Saturday we are cooking out with family to celebrate father's day and my birthday. I am looking forward to see them.

Father's Day

We are very excited to have Daddy home now. His flight came in Friday after being gone about two weeks.

As I gave Isaac his gift, Janna tells him, we got you a starwars movie, video game and a pirate. Isaac got none of that because I went shopping. We got him the movie Avatar and a picture scrapbook of pictures of just him and the kids. That night we got "applebees to go" and had dinner once Simon was asleep.

Isaac still had to mow while the kids and I played in the pool so I know it wasn't the perfect and relaxing day but we are so grateful to have him as a husband and Daddy.

My favorite memories of you with the kids is in the times when you play "rough" with them and make them giggle til they turn red.

Thank you Isaac for being a great Dad.

My Big Boy

Simon slept in his twin bed last night. It wasn't planned, I wasn't prepared, I wasn't emotionally ready either...but he did great.

Simon was having a really hard night so to settle him down while also taking care of Janna I put him in the big boy bed in Janna's room. He settled down and curled up and went to sleep as I told Janna stories and talked to her.

I went in later and put the baby monitor in, put up the gate, etc...

He didn't wake up until 6am. Both kids slept through the night. yeah! Though between 5am and 6am he hit his head on the wall 5 or more times. He moves alot in his sleep like Janna. I think the final bump woke him up. He hit the wall hard, hard enough I woke up in my room but everytime I went to check on him he was breathing deep and fast asleep.

Here is a picture of my sweet little boy, who is growing up way to fast!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! Saturday we had a wedding the morning. Janna was excited to get dressed up and see Ms. Kathy get married. The reception was outside and very hot. The wedding was beautiful, but bit long. The kids were good overall. That afternoon we drove up to see my parents. Isaac wasn't feeling well so we took our time and he slept and bed to bed early to re-coop. I got LaRosa pizza for dinner. yum! Sunday we went to church. Simon was tired and fussy but Janna was good. They we had lunch and then Janna played outside while Simon napped. Janna loved the pool and playhouse and had a great time. Isaac and I went on a date while Janna played and Simon napped. It was really nice. We went to a movie, Prince of Persia, it was very good and I enjoyed it much more than I thought. Then we splurged and went to Joe's crab shack for crab legs. It has been a year since we last had crab legs, which we love. We took our time and enjoyed the day. I had a great time just spending time with Isaac. The kids had a great time wearing grandma and grandpa out. Monday we just hung out. Mom and I went shopping and found Janna some water shoes. She also got a new pair of sunglasses which she loves. Then we just hung out at the house until we needed to head back. It was a great weekend with family. We are so blessed to have this time together full of love and laughter.

Good bye crib

I came across a free twin bed with mattress through work and could resist. Dad came down and took down the crib. Here is the last picture of my crib. I love the crib, it is a nice crib, in good condition. It just hasn't been used in at least three years, maybe a little bit longer. Simon is still sleeping in the pack n play in the study.

The bed is nice and in good shape. I got plain white sheets on it and will have to get (ask for his birthday) some boy sheets. My mom gave us a side railing, so we are almost set. Except I don't trust him to stay in bed like Janna does and did. So we are waiting to transition him.

The room looks more open and the kids love to sit on the bed and play now. Here is a picture of the room now.

Update

I am have been meaning to write for awhile but it has been busy, with what I am not sure.

Janna is now taking shower, with a whale attachment on our shower head.

Simon is eating cereal with milk using a spoon and doing really well at it.

Janna's last urine test came back all clear, no blood and no bacteria. She doesn't complain of it hurting much anymore either. Yeah!

The bug bites are back, so far Simon has had two. They swell up huge. I guess I need to start putting both bug stuff and sunscreen on. Poor kid!

We have had lots of fun with car repairs. We sunk a lot of money in to the Escape and hope it will last longer. We aren't going to put any more money into the "lemon" of a car.

The van has no air which makes these hot day miserable, I appreciate Isaac taking it so the kids and I don't sweat to death.

I found Isaac a new pair of gym shoes for his trip to England. I have ordered Father's day presents. I even got Rachel (sister in law) a great gift. I feel like I am on top of things at least in the gift area.

This month I will be 30 years old. It sounds old. I love birthday's and look forward to celebrating with my family.
