Great Deal

Today I went to the local church's Lil Angel sale. They sale children clothes, shoes, toys, movies , books from sellers all over the town. It is a large yard sale indoors. They have this twice a year. Sometimes I find good deal and others nothing. This year was a good one. Janna was needing clothes this year and not Simon (thanks for great friends). I got the following for $34.00:
3 Disney VHS movies
4 Carebear books
1 Elmo backpack
1 pj
2 jeans with the buttons and elastic to tighten the waist
1 Cinderella hoodie sweatshirt
1 dress outfit from Children's place
8 long sleeve tops

Family Picture

Here is the group picture from our TN vacation in July. I love how we have everyone in the same picture, mostly looking in the right direction!

Family Date Night

Last night our family went to Fazoli's for dinner right after work. It was kids night and they ate for 99cents. They had a kids table set up with an employee. The very nice lady colored with our kids and did an art project while Isaac and I ate and talked. It was very nice. The kids ate only a little bit but had a great time. We did dessert and baths when we got home. It was nice evening together. Even Simon sat (stood) in once place for little bit. It is nice when the small things go well:)

When it rains it pours

A lot has happen since the last week of August and today September 10th and most of it is not good. I have been trying to stay up beat and positive, and sometimes this works and sometime it doesn't.

*We found out Isaac's office is closing. He may or may not have a job for the next year, but things are very uncertain.
--we are praying for a great teaching opportunity or full time scholarship with a little extra so we can finish school and move on.

*My mom's job is put in uncertainty of it's future. Plus she is still dealing with "my grandma mess"
---praying for a solution.

*My job is getting very busy and students are getting rude. But it is very secure!

*My TSH level is now too low, four month ago it was too high. Changing meds to help. This does explain somethings though.

*Isaac is still adjusting and getting use to his new diabetic medicine and has a follow up next month. Hoping for side effects to disappear.

*Our cousin Taylor who was 21 years old died in a severe car accident. Life support had to be pulled.
--we missed the funeral due to IN interstate closing, a one hour drive turned in 3.5 hours
--It was good to see family.
---Praying for the family and their new normal.

*This week is the two year anniversary of PawPaw's death.

Good News--Janna is enjoying swim lessons. Kids are a bit under the weather but overall very happy! Isaac and I are doing great and loving each other through this rough spot.

Lord-Fill my cup...overflow it so I can't help but see your blessings!

Weekend

My mom came down a couple weekends ago while Isaac was gone. It was fun and busy weekend. We got Simon's hair cut at Kiddie Kutters. The place had a huge slide and fun chairs. Simon sat in a fire truck. Simon did great job sitting still and the hair cut turned out great. We went to the library and picked out some books. Then picked up a few ingredients for lunch. After lunch we rested, then played at home. Then we made a trip to Walmart for a few items. Janna tried on clothes in the dressing room and only Simon was allowed in with her. We got her some cute outfits, thanks mom! Then we picked up dinner and headed home for baths and bed.

Sunday we got up and Simon got his 2 year pictures taken. We were the first ones there, we still had to wait a little but not too bad. Simon was just like Janna at two. We got some good pictures though. He was all over the place running around and away from the camera. We then went over to Eric's house where he and Dad were playing Mr. Fix it. We didn't stay long just enough for hugs. Then we went to Panera for lunch. It was very good. Afterward we went home, Simon took a nap while Janna and grandma made cookies. When Simon woke up we went for a walk to the park and then Isaac got home.

It was a great weekend full of fun and family.

Janna

Janna is doing well. Her class at daycare started a pre-school curriculum. Janna is leaning bible stories and letters and numbers. I love hearing her new songs she comes home and sings. They played number bingo with skittles and she won. Last night we danced around the kitchen singing Father Abraham had many sons... I wish I could remember the other ones. They are so much fun. Last week Ms Allison said Janna finished her sentence when she couldn't come up with the word. Janna was ready and listening. I am loving watching her learn.

Simon is talking

It has been so much fun over the past two weeks to listen to Simon. He started by putting two words together, commands I would call them. He says "sit mama" when he want you to sit and play with him. "mama ball ma ball"

He recently has started with really sentences. For example " I want fing (thing) too" if Janna is getting something he wants too. He says fing or phing if he doesn't know the word.

He sings Elmo word, the tune at least. It sounds like belmo worl lalala. He loves Elmo and wants to watch it all the time.

His vocabulary is endless lately. He is ready to repeat and learn.
