My birthday song

It was actually longer and better the second time, but here is a preview. I love seeing them "work together". Janna then played Happy Birthday on the piano following the book and notes.

Look what I got for my birthday! Funfetti cupcakes( from work) and beautiful flowers plus balloon ( from Isaac).
Mom H. took me shopping and out to eat the weekend before and Mom W. comes down this weekend to celebrate. The kids had VBS so I had some me time. It was a good birthday!

Happy Father's Day

A couple of weeks ago

I realized my writing has come in  spurts. Two weekends ago we went up to see my parents. We took the kids to Coney Island for the first time. I haven't been there since I worked there over 15 years ago. Strangely somethings looked bigger. Some things had moved and others were still there. The kids actually liked the rides and had a good time. Maybe we will go back to the pool sometime this summer. It was a nice day with a cool breeze and beautiful weather. Part of it was closed due to summerfest. I think we will be making a return trip, the kids loved it. It brought back some fun memories. I hope to get the pictures my mom took and post them sometime.
We also went to the zoo but new baby zebra wasn't out. It was crowded but still a fun trip. Even my dad went with us. Yeah!

Janna Swim lessons

I am a bit behind, but Janna passed her swiming class this spring. Yeah Janna!

Larry

I have had Larry the Cucumber for about 10 years now. When I have bad dream, sad, or sick, I hold him at night. Usually he sits by my bed. Larry has got me through some hard times. His middle stuffing is gone and he is all 'very loved'. Last night Janna wanted to sleep with him because she was sad. I had to sneak in and take this very cute picture.

Simon loves me!

Most days, almost everyday when I pick Simon up from school, he screams, "no, I don't want to go home!". Today he ran to me with his hand full of theses. He gave me a big hug and said I picked these for you because I love you. It made my day.

Janna takes dance class

Janna has started taking dance classes for the summer to see if she likes and wants to take it in the fall.
I think she is the cutest little girl in her outfit. After class she came out smiling saying it was awesome.

Six Year Check Up

Janna had her 6 year physical today.

Height: 42 3/4 inches---7%
Weight: 35 lbs---1%

She is no longer boarderline anemic. Her iron level was 12, a lot higher than last time.
I got a chance to ask all my small questions and got answers.

We had lunch at sonic together and then she was super excited to swim with her friends when I dropped her off.
