This was posted on our Asbury Seminary community board and it was such a great message. I had to pass it on.

Sleep
We have been sleeping more the past two nights. For the two weeks previously it has been horrible. The solution we found was to let Janna sleep on the futon. She decides at bedtime where to sleep. She has choosen the futon lately. It is low enough and she can get in and out. I have pillows on the floor in case too. In the mornings she crys for me as usual but just waits at the door for me to come get her. Janna has only woken once in the middle of night and it only took a minute for her to go back to sleep. She wiggles a lot at first but then dozes off. Some night she wants to rock and cuddle first but other nights she doesn't want to be touched.
My little girl is growing up. We will be looking for a toddler bed soon.

Potty
Last night I was going to the bathroom and Janna follows me in and stood at the door and said "Poo POO Poo" . I checked her diaper and there was nothing there. She was getting frustrated that I didn't know what she wanted so I took her to go feed Molly. I opened the container of food and instead of starting right away she just stood there. I ask Isaac "What is she doing". He said " I think she is pooping" Sure enough a second later the smell came. I checked her diaper and yep it was dirty.
Janna was telling me she needed to Poo. We are planning on talking and getting supplies for potty training after the break. According to the books I wasn't' sure she was ready, but now I know she is ready to at least try and introduce it.
I am so proud of her! She just keeps growing up:)

Leaves
I received the following note from daycare the other day:
We went on a walk today. We stopped by some trees and discussed how leaves and acorns fal off in autumn. Janna listened intently and then said "uh-oh".
I think it is so interesting how much she picks up each day, catching on to new ideas and concepts. I am very proud of my little monster.

Thanksgiving
We had a fun Thanksgiving with my parents. My brother flew in and it was great to see him. His girlfriend Rachel also drove up on Friday. We went on a double date Friday night. It was so much fun. Isaac and I haven't been to a dinner, movie, and ice cream since Janna was born. We went to O'Charley's then saw Enchanted, and went to Graters afterwards . I recommend this movie to everyone. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Isaac even liked it too:) Janna was good for my parents and went to bed on time, had a bath, and even brushed her teeth. Thanks Mom for taking care of her while we were out.
Janna learned how to saw "Eric". It was so cute. Eric looked at her and said "whats my name" she answered clear as day "Eric". She is getting really good at repeating things. She talks a lot.
She is good at repeating what you do as well.
We also got to see The Enos Family including Nathan the 15 month old. It was fun watching Janna and Nathan interact. There wasn't much time to chat and catch up though. They kept us busy. I found it interesting how Nathan went for the opposite stuff that Janna did. It probably is a boy thing.
Janna enjoyed the book " The Five Silly Turkeys". Isaac and I enjoyed our date. It was nice to see everyone. It was a great time of family fun.
I hope that you all had a good Thanksgiving.
